Thousands, if not millions or even billions of people around the world have been making the switch from consuming a grocery store-bought diet, to returning to our roots and harvesting our own foods. With the amount of additives and unnaturally occurring ingredients that are found in 99% of all the products in store shelves, you can't blame them! So besides there being so many additives and unnatural ingredients being found in our grocery store food items, why else would people be making the switch on a large scale? Let me tell you!
So long before the commercialization occurred within the food distribution system that we have today in the modern world, all of us were mostly eating straight from the earth from our own gardens, or from our local farmer's markets. This tradition roots back to our ancient history and is our most natural way of eating. It was the original lifestyle that God had laid out for us, right since the beginning of time in the Garden of Eden. The entire garden was for us to consume as food! (So long as we didn't eat from that tree of knowledge of good and evil!) But it seems that we have lost our way and it might have actually been the result of us eating from that tree of knowledge long ago.
One of the original benefits that God had given us with the plants and herbs that are naturally occurring is that each and every consumable plant has their very own medicinal properties, purposes and uses. That is what I would love to teach you all about here in these blogs. Long ago, before we consumed just whatever was being sold en masse on store shelves, we had the natural inclination to eat what we knew would be good for us. When we were sick, we would consume honey, ginger, garlic and lemon concoctions. When we wanted to relax, we would have some chamomile tea or if we wanted energy, we would go for the green tea. Back then, we just knew what was good for us and our diets and eating habits reflected that natural instinct.
So let me tell you some of the benefits of making the switch.
